Logan Memorial Education Complex
- San Diego, CA
- August 2020
Project Background
Within the historic neighborhood of Logan Heights in San Diego, renovation of the existing Logan K-8 and Memorial Prep campuses are being rebuilt and re-planned into a TK-12 education complex. The panel designs required an initial challenge of 13 unique custom patterns for the entry gate along with 2,745 square feet of fencing and gates within multiple sections around the campus. As part of a design master plan, murals, signage, graphics, and ornamental metal works were provided by Visual Asylum, a local design firm working alongside project architects BakerNowicki Design Studio, to deliver a cohesive brand expression for the entire campus.
Approach
The client sought out Parasoleil as the best and only option for developing these intricate custom patterns for the main entry gate. Through heavy coordination with the contractors and expedited production, the client was able to stay on their timeline. By using White Sands© for the screens around the campus, a whimsical and playful atmosphere is created for the students. This project is ongoing and set to be completed in 2022.
